The 21.5" iMac Desktop Computer from Apple is a sleek all-in-one computer with a stunning 16:9 HD display. Capable of displaying 1080p HD video at full resolution, the display features a LED backlight and IPS panel technology for superior image quality. The iMac sports a sleek aluminum and glass industrial design, with a matching wireless slimline aluminum keyboard.
LED Backlight
The computer's IPS display features a LED backlight for superior image quality. Traditional LCD displays take time to warm up before they can achieve their maximum brightness; a LED-backlight display turns on instantly with uniform brightness across the panel. It also gives you complete control over the screen's brightness level, allowing you to fine tune the display to look its best based on the ambient light in the room.
More Pixels, Better Picture
The 21.5" 1920 x 1080 display delivers 17% more pixels than the previous-generation 20" iMac. It boasts a 1000:1 contrast ratio, producing more vibrant colors and blacker blacks. The display's 16:9 aspect ratio, the same found in HDTVs, is wider than that of earlier iMacs.
